Dementia PAL & Dementia PALs Communities

Heading 4

Although everyone's experience of dementia is unique, there is a great deal of common ground.  Being able to talk to other people who know what it is like to live with and care for someone living with dementia is invaluable particularly with the added difficulties under lockdown.  Dementia PALs, which stands for Peer Assisted Living, is a support community which is a reassuring place where participants know they can chat safely to people who are in similar circumstances, without being judged.  Being able to talk other people and listening to other people’s views and experiences improves understanding.

This initiative is delivered by trained volunteers via Zoom or telephone.
